2.1 THE ANALYSIS OF PURPOSIVE BEHAVIOR

　題名は「オペラント行動とオペラント条件づけ」ですね。最初のセクション（2.1）は「標的行動の分析」くらいでいいかな。行動分析学では問題となっている行動に対して、その行動を修正しようと行動分析家が介入するわけです。だから、まずはどのような行動を修正する必要があるのか、あるいはどのような行動を生起させようとするのかを明らかにしなければならないわけです。

As we saw in the previous chapter, the notion that much of animal behavior consists of reflexes was well-known to the scientific community by the latter part of nineteenth century, and Pavlov's ideas about conditioned reflexes as a model for much of learnt behavior were also rapidly and widely disseminated.
